Davao City, Philippines - A homemade bomb ripped through a passenger bus in the southern Philippines Thursday, wounding at least 23 people, police said. The bus had just parked at a terminal in Bansalan town in Digos City, Davao Del Sur province, 1,005 kilometres south of Manila, when the explosion occurred. Chief Inspector Anthony Padua, head of the city's police, said the explosion caused "major damage" to the bus, which was bound for nearby Davao City. "Blood could be seen all over," he said. "The hurt passengers were rushed to hospitals." Padua said authorities recovered what appeared to be a second unexploded improvised bomb in the passenger bus.
