Greater Niagara Newspapers MEDINA — The Medina Board of Education unanimously voted to suspend Superintendent Richard M. Galante on Wednesday afternoon following his arrest by state police. Investigators allege Galante falsely reported on his resume that he worked for 17 years as a state trooper, said State Police Public Information Officer Rebecca Gibbons. Galante was asked to appear at the Albion barracks sometime after 1 p.m. for questioning and was charged sometime thereafter with first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, a class E felony punishable by from one to four years in state prison, if convicted. Arraignment took place before Judge Dawn Keppler in Shelby Town Justice Court, where Galante posted $500 bail and was released.
