A homemade bomb ripped through a commuter bus in the southern Philippines on Thursday, killing at least three people and wounding 10 others, authorities said. Regional military spokesman Maj. Armand Rico said the bomb detonated while the bus was parked at a terminal in Digos. The city is near the regional center Davao, where authorities earlier warned that Muslim militants were plotting attacks. At least three people died on the bus, which was heading to Davao. National police chief Avelino Razon said initial reports put the number of wounded at 10. "It was an improvised bomb," Rico said. Experts were investigating its composition to help determine who was responsible, he said.
