PORTLAND, OR OSCON , Sun Microsystems, Inc.-- (Nasdaq: JAVA), today announced the availability of the Sun Web Stack, a fully supported and integrated enterprise-quality AMP (Apache/MySQL/Perl or PHP) stack for Solaris and Linux operating systems. The Web Stack software includes the open source, standards-based software most commonly used for Web-tier application development and services. Download the Web Stack at http://www.sun.com/webstack. Sun also announced that it is open sourcing the core components of the Sun Java System Web Server 7.0 and Sun Java System Web Proxy technologies under a BSD (Berkeley Software Distribution) license in the Web Stack sub-project of the OpenSolaris community.
