Tebow doesn’t buy into rock-star status

HOOVER, Ala. — Tim Tebow has been places where he hasn’t been recognized recently. He just had to go on missions to the Philippines, Croatia and Thailand to do so. Then again, there was some guy in an airport in Germany who blurted out his name. And there was that lady in the Philippines who said, in difficult-to-understand English, that her daughter goes to Florida. As far as trips to the mall or Wal-Mart in Gators-crazy Gainesville, Fla., the Heisman Trophy winner cuts down on those greatly, because, “some people are willing to do anything,” Tebow said.
