SALINAS, Calif.- Eggs. Ketchup. Toilet paper. Three household items vandals are using against some homeowners in a north Salinas neighborhood. Wednesday night, neighbors who live along Acacia Way and Buckingham Drive got together at El Dorado Park for a community meeting to discuss ways to curb vandalism that they say has been happeing for months. A couple of weeks ago, Melinda Torres woke up to find her Lexus splattered with ketchup. For Jose Belman, it was eggs. And Aurelio Salazar's car has been vandalized more than two times. Salinas police was on hand at Wednesday's meeting to give homeowners advice, along with City Councilwoman Jyl Lutes. She is organizing another follow up meeting in the weeks ahead.
