PHOENIX -- The Diamondbacks shut out the Cubs on Monday, 2-0, at Chase Field behind a two-hit performance by Randy Johnson. Rookie Alex Romero stroked a 362-foot home run to right field for his first Major League home run to break up a no-hitter off Rich Harden in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Big Unit (7-7) allowed just two hits in seven innings. Johnson remained unbeaten in his career against the Cubs. Johnson had 15 fly-ball outs, compared to just two ground-ball outs. He was hit hard, but the Cubs couldn't find any gaps. Harden lost his bid for a perfect game on the first batter of the fifth inning when he walked Chad Tracy and lost his no-hit bid the following inning.
