Otago researchers say SUVs are not as dangerous as some people make out. Public Health Researcher Dr Michael Keall and Australia's Monash University Crash Accident Research Centre have looked at over 17,000 injury related crashes on both sides of the Tasman. They have now concluded SUVs are not generally dangerous but are warning they are seen that way, possibly because of they way they are driven and the people who own them. Dr Keall says SUVs are more prone to roll-over crashes and are more dangerous to other road users, particularly pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists. Share this...
