By JoAnne Allen WASHINGTON, July 23 (Reuters) - Supervisors in the Pentagon agency that audits weapons contracts used intimidation, harassment and threats to get their employees to alter audits in favor of contractors, according to a congressional report released on Wednesday. The Government Accountability Office report on the Defense Contract Audit Agency also found that supervisors dropped findings and changed audit opinions without adequate support for their changes. "We learned of verbal admonishments, reassignments and threat of disciplinary action against auditors who raised questions about management guidance to omit their audit findings and change draft opinions or who spoke with or contacted our investigators," the report said.
