10-Minute Plays Showcase Joys, Trials of Teens

A magical love seat. A slumber party. A mom who raises her son as a daughter. Sisterhood. A daughter helping her mother find love again. Those are just a few of the topics for the "10 Minute Play Festival," a showcase of short plays written by students in the 51st Teenage Drama Workshop (TADW) at California State University, Northridge. Presented two nights only, July 31 and Aug. 1, the Festival features nine plays by students in TADW's playwriting elective. Promising young actors from across the San Fernando Valley, all of whom take part in TADW's improvisation and acting classes, will fill all the roles.
