Capel Announces Non-League Games

Men's hoops team could play 11 games against non-league foes that made the postseason. Jeff Capel coached OU to a 23-12 record last year NORMAN, Okla. - University of Oklahoma vice president for intercollegiate athletics programs and director of athletics Joe Castiglione and head men's basketball coach Jeff Capel announced OU's 2008-09 non-conference schedule today. The slate guarantees the Sooners 13 out-of-league regular season games and as many as 15. At least nine contests will be played against teams that advanced to the postseason last year. That number could possibly reach 11.
