Fenerbahçe invite Emre aboard

Midfielder Emre Belözoğlu has been unveiled as a new signing at Fenerbahçe SK following the conclusion of a transfer deal with Newcastle United FC. MTK tie The 27-year-old Turkey international has signed a four-year contract with last season's Süper Lig runners-up, who start their UEFA Champions League campaign in the second qualifying round with the home leg of their tie against MTK Budapest taking place next week. No details of any transfer fee have been released. Military service The 57-times capped international, who has scored four goals for his country, agreed terms with Fenerbahçe in June but was not unveiled until today as he had to complete 21 days of military service on returning to Turkey.
