Kid Rock Gets Probation For Atlanta Brawl

By: Don Kaye Kid Rock has been sentenced to a year's probation and fined $1,000 for his role in a fight that took place last fall at a Waffle House restaurant outside Atlanta, according to the Associated Press. Officials at the DeKalb County solicitor's office also said that Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, must go for six hours of anger management counseling and serve 80 hours of community service. Rock had pleaded no contest to one count of simple battery stemming from the incident, after four other counts of battery were dropped. Rock and five members of his entourage were arrested last October 21st after a male customer at the restaurant recognized a woman traveling with Rock's group and exchanged words with her and Rock, leading to a scuffle.
