I can already hear Hodenmaier saying "oh no, fireworks again"… nonetheless, this shot was taken during the second show on the first night of the Feuerwerkersinfonie 2008 (fireworks symphony) — a competition that combines fireworks and music, and which took place for the 7th time this year. traditionally, there are a lot more people watching this from the streets around the Volkspark in Potsdam than folks who actually pay for it. and these streets do become really congested right around the time the fireworks are supposed to start. since we kinda got a late start taking off from home to see the show and got lost briefly due to my lack of navigation skills (I’ve been living in this town for almost 33 years now…), we were able to experience the jammed streets first hand.
