Blu-ray Shipments Increase in Japan

According to Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA), shipments of Blu-ray Disc recorders in Japan has, for the first time, broken the 100,000 barrier. In the month of June, approximately 122,000 Blu-ray Disc recorders were sold in Japan, compared to approximately 82,000 the month prior. June shipments were also three times greater than those just six months prior.
