Oakland (51-48) at Tampa Bay (58-40), Tuesday, 4:10 p.m. PT ST. PETERSBURG -- Dallas Braden's first shot at claiming a regular spot in Oakland's starting rotation didn't work out so well. As a 23-year-old rookie in 2007, he won the first of his 14 starts but didn't win again, going 1-8 with a 7.31 ERA. Braden, a left-hander selected by the A's in the 24th round of the 2004 First-Year Player Draft, will make the first start of his second chance to stick in the rotation Tuesday. He gets the ball for the second game of a three-game series against the host Rays at Tropicana Field.
