Body of local soldier killed in Afghanistan returns home

St. Louis (KMOV) -- The body of a local soldier killed in an ambush in Afghanistan is now home. Corporal Gunnar Zwilling, 20, of Florissant Mo., was among nine killed on July 13th when dozens of insurgents raided a remote outpost in the Kunar province. Corporal Zwilling was a graduate of Hazelwood West High School. Patriot Guard Riders were at Lambert Airport on Sunday morning to escort the body of Corporal Zwilling home. A visitation is on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bauer Funeral & Memorial home on West Clay in St. Charles, Mo. A celebration of his life will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks followed by a burial.
