Curt Fraser will be introduced as the Griffins' eighth coach in franchise history during a Wednesday morning news conference at Van Andel Arena. Fraser replaces Mike Stothers, who was fired in June after leading the Griffins to a franchise-worst 31-41-2-6 record in his lone season. Fraser, 50, was the first head coach in the history of the Atlanta Thrashers, who joined the NHL in 1999.
