Former East Carolina Pirate Trevor Lawhorn hit a three-run home run as Potomac beat Kinston 8-0 Tuesday night in Woodbridge, Virginia. The home run, Lawhorn's fifth of the season and second of the year against Kinston, broke a scoreless tie. Potomac got to Kinston ace Hector Rondon (8-5) who took the loss, giving up seven hits and six earned runs in five innings. Three of Rondon's five losses this season are at the hands of Potomac. The Nationals are now 10-5 against Kinston this season, assuring at least a split of the 20 game season series.
