Honeywell will provide repair and overhaul services for its avionics and mechanical products installed on Southwest Airlines' fleet of more than 500 aircraft under a 10-year contract extension. Southwest previously had multiple, separate agreements with Honeywell for product maintenance, said Honeywell representative Karen Crabtree. The existing agreements, with varied start and end dates, were consolidated into this 10-year deal to simplify matters and give Southwest a single point of contact, she said. Under it, Honeywell will provide for the auxiliary power units, hydro mechanical units, avionics, lighting, mechanical components and wheels and brakes installed on Southwest's Boeing 737 fleet, including future deliveries.
