"We get criticized for not covering enough hard news," NBC News President Steve Capus told members of the Television Critics Association. "Look how many stories are being covered on the Obama trip - Israel, the Middle East, the war." Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," said NBC would very likely have covered Sen. John McCain's Middle East trip in March "if his campaign hadn't decided to make it a CBS exclusive."
