By: Janine Coveney Singer and songwriter Robin Thicke is gearing up for the release of his third album, called Something Else. The artist is off to a strong start with the retro-soul single "Magic" on the urban adult chart. It was a different story when his second album, The Evolution of Robin Thicke, was first released. Signed to Interscope by Jimmy Iovine, Thicke struggled to connect with an audience at first. After releasing one single produced by hip-hop star Pharrell, the label was set to release one last single before giving up. That single was the smash "Lost Without U.'
