ROCHESTER, Minn. - A 40-year-old man from western Tennessee has been charged with murder in the death of his father at a downtown Rochester hotel. Sean Francis Clancy of Eads, Tennessee, was charged Monday with two counts of second-degree murder in the death of 69-year-old James Francis Clancy of Winnipeg, Manitoba. A housekeeper found the body of the elder Clancy Friday morning on the floor in a room at the Holiday Inn Express. Police arrested Sean Clancy soon after in the Gonda Building of the Mayo Clinic. According to court documents, Clancy went to the clinic seeking medical help and told a nurse he killed his father after an argument by strangling him with a towel.
