After winning four straight games in Lancaster, the JetHawks smacked five home runs as they defeated the High Desert Mavericks 9-7 Saturday night in Adelanto. The JetHawks have won five straight games and 11 of 13. The win, combined with a loss by Rancho Cucamonga, gives sole possession of first place to the JetHawks for the first time in the second half. It was a low-scoring game for the first six innings. Solo home runs by Luis Exposito and Josh Reddick put the JetHawks on the board, but they trailed 3-2.
