Uzbek, Kuwaiti leaders discuss bilateral relations, sign documents

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber As-Sabah held face to face talks on the issues related to the Uzbek-Kuwaiti relations, as well as problems of international and regional importance interesting to both sides. As reported earlier, the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber As-Sabah arrived in the Uzbek capital with an official visit on 21 July. President Islam Karimov welcomed the high-ranking official at the Tashkent airport. Welcoming the guest, the Uzbek President noted that Kuwait was one of close and reliable partners of Uzbekistan in the Persian Gulf region.
