Open Top Bus Deaths Ruled an Accident

The District of Columbia's chief medical examiner has ruled that the deaths of two men injured on an open-top shuttle bus was accidental. Beverly Fields, a spokeswoman for the medical examiner's office, says the men died of blunt head trauma, and that the manner of the deaths was accidental. Twenty-four-year-old Joshua Stoll of Sterling, Va., died shortly after the July 11 accident. Thirty-five-year-old Michael Feiock of Centreville, Va., died at a hospital the next day. Authorities say the two men were either standing on the upper deck of the bus or standing on upper deck seats when their heads struck the bottom of the 11th Street overpass.
