DETROIT_The Detroit Red Wings re-signed Swedish defenseman Jonathan Ericsson and American goaltender Jimmy Howard and to three-year contracts. Ericsson will earn $550,000 (?346,800) next season and Howard $600,000, according to the National Hockey League players' union. The team did not disclose details but said the contracts were filed over the weekend. Howard played four games for the Wings last season. Goaltender Dominik Hasek retired last month.
