Published Date: 21 July 2008 LIVINGSTON keeper Giordano Vanin has left the club just six days after signing a three-year contract. The 22-year-old former Parma did not play in Saturday's two-goal defeat to Celtic XI after asking to be released from his contract. Livingston boss Roberto Landi gave a French goalkeeper Vanin's gloves and he was replaced by a Brazilian trialist after 56 minutes. Livingston chairman Angelo Massone said: "Giordano asked to be released from the club and after consideration we agreed to his request. It's a disappointment for us but it is the best decision for both the player and Livingston. "We are looking at a number of alternative options and we hope to be in the position to announce a replacement shortly."
