Parmentier comes back to win Bad Gastein title

Sports Ticker; The Gazette Published:Â 32 minutes ago Pauline Parmentier overcame a slow start to win the Bad Gastein Ladies tournament yesterday with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Lucie Hradecka. It was the the second career title for the 22-year-old Frenchwoman, who won her first crown at the Tier IV event in Tashkent last season. The fourth-seeded Parmentier fell into an early hole, losing nine of the first 10 points and trailed 4-1. However, she won the next eight games to take a 6-4, 3-0 lead against her unseeded Czech opponent. Hradecka saved a match point at 3-5, but was unable to fend off another as Parmentier found glory on the red clay and collected the $28,000 first prize.
