Everyone in the 3M field was pulling for Greg Norman in the British Open and wish they saw more of him. If he chose to do so, Greg Norman could easily play weekly on the PGA Champions Tour. At 53, he has won more than 80 times on golf tours around the world, including 20 on the PGA Tour. The latter number includes the British Open twice, both in 1986 and '93. Against what were mighty odds, on paper anyway, he had a two-shot lead heading into this year's final round Sunday at Royal Birkdale in England, but bogeyed the first three holes and never recovered. He wound up finishing in a tie for third at 9 over par, 6 shots back of winner Padraig Harrington. Norman has entered only two Champions Tour events since turning 50.
