Probe into burning of MCA man’s car

The vehicle, an old Toyota, was parked in the driveway of Wong’s daughter’s rented house at Taman Tronoh, some 20km from here. Wong’s daughter, who was staying next door with her husband and son, made the discovery around 7am yesterday after she woke up. According to a police spokesperson, Wong’s daughter went to bed about 1.30am earlier, and did not notice or hear anything out of the ordinary. “She only noticed the charred taillights of her father’s car when she came downstairs in the morning and looked over at the driveway of her rented house, where the vehicle was parked,” said the spokesperson. Police have found traces of petrol on the charred vehicle and driveway of the house where Wong’s daughter was staying.
