(Portland, ME) - The Trenton Thunder (62-37) swept a doubleheader from the Portland Sea Dogs (53-45) on Saturday night, 5-4 and 3-0 at Hadlock Field. Portland has lost the first three games of the series and fall 8.5 games behind Trenton for the top spot in the Northern Division. Trenton CF Austin Jackson scored the game-winning run in both games. In the opener, Jackson snapped a 4-4 tie by launching a solo-homer off Mike James (3-4) with two outs in the top of the seventh inning. In the nightcap, Jackson began the seventh with a double and scored on Edwar Gonzalez's run-scoring single. Portland was out hit 14-11 in the twinbill, picking up just two hits in game two.
