Page Memorial Hospital is currently one of the few remaining independent small hospitals in Virginia. Luray - Page Memorial Hospital has announced a tentative agreement to merge with Winchester-based Valley Health. Included in the terms of the agreement is a plan to build a new hospital in Page County. Two years ago, to assess the future of the hospital, Page Memorial’s board of directors launched a strategic planning process. Existing facilities and future needs were assessed. PMH had served Page County well in the past, but changing demographics and the goal of providing the latest in high-tech medical services meant updating or improving the existing hospital.
