To The Editor: Well known facts exist regarding Barack Obama which may be legal but not beyond question. As chairman of Chicago's Health & Human Services Committee, he pushed through the Health Facilities Planning Act, reducing board members from 15 to 9, making votes easier to pass, and subsequently received money from board nominees. In December 2004, board members (friends of Tony Rezko, real estate developer and Chicago fundraiser, and nominated at Rezko's request) attempted to extort money from the CEO of Edward Hospital but the FBI wiretapped a board member's phone and caught evidence on tape.
