So far, so good... By Peter Dawson, R&A Chief Executive - 8.30am, 15th July 2008 We're less than a day away from the start of The Open - and so far, so good. A lot of my time at The Open is usually spent trying to look after the players: have they all registered successfully, are the locker rooms okay, are they happy with the course. But I have to say that this year I’ve had so little by way of complaint from any of them that it’s been completely painless. They seem to love the course, all the logistics are running smoothly and everything’s going to plan – so far, at least. Not that there aren’t other things to be keeping me busy.
