What a croc: Gator on the loose in the District

The Northwest Washington Little League has reported its John Deere "Gator" utility vehicle missing. And since the green and yellow ATV looks more like a golf cart mixed with a riding lawn mower than a carnivorous reptile, officials say it couldn't have just walked away by itself. The baseball league was using the Gator to prepare ball fields until it turned up missing from a locked shed. It looks like the vehicle is now in the hands of a group of teens who have been riding it through D.C. "People throughout upper Northwest, a number of people, have seen it being ridden around in the streets and alleys in the neighborhood," says League Spokesman John Mahaffie.
