Angola: Public Works Minister Assesses Infrastructures in Benguela

Posted to the web 17 July 2008 Luanda The Angolan Public Works minister, Higino Carneiro, learnt last Wednesday about the level of execution of social impact works, underway in the centre-west Benguela Province, in the framework of the Public Investments Programme, aimed at improving people's living standards in that region. In Benguela City, in Catumbela locality, the official learnt about the construction project of the new bridge over Catumbela river, whose works are being done in a 438-metre length. Accompanied by the local governor, Dumilde Rangel, the minister visited in Lobito District the integrated works project of infrastructures along Salvador Correia Avenue, under the responsibility of the Brazilian Odebrecht construction company.
