By La Société - July 17, 08 at 12:29 Rolls-Royce announced today that specialist leasing company LCAL has selected Trent 1000 engines to power five more Boeing 787-8 aircraft in a deal valued at more than $170 million. Dubai-based LCAL, which already has six Trent 1000-powered Boeing 787s on firm order, has based its business exclusively on the Boeing 787. It became the first leasing company to order the aircraft in 2005, when LCAL was established, and it will be the first leasing company to take delivery of the aircraft.
