A1A Reopens After Crash Tuesday

PONTE VEDRA, FL -- A1A is open once again after a traffic accident at mid-morning on Tuesday. Police in Ponte Vedra say an Officer on Patrol tried to pull over a car going northbound on A1A after noticing something wrong with the registration on its tag. Authorities say the driver then turn around, ran a traffic light on Palm Valley Road and lost control, ending up on the Southbound lane and crashing with an SUV. A woman and her two and five year old children were in the SUV at the time of the crash. Their vehicle went off the road, luckily they were not injured. The driver of the car and two of his passengers were transported to Baptist Beaches after their car overturned in the median. Their injuries are unknown.
