Miniature panel potentiometer delivers 500,000 cycles

Malvern, Pa. — Vishay Intertechnology Inc. has introduced a low-cost, long-life panel potentiometer with a low temperature coefficient down to +/-150 ppm/°C in a small 9.6-mm size. Featuring a fully sealed IP67 package with pure Sn terminals, the potentiometer is intended for control panel, low-cost actuation proportional pedal, and illumination applications in toys, hospital bed audio systems, air conditioning controls, portable heater controls, simple tool machines, and dimmers. The Vishay Sfernice P10L offers a long life of 500,000 cycles, compared to standard low-cost devices that reach 50,000 cycles, Vishay said.
