Two streaks ended Thursday when the Minnesota Twins defeated the Detroit Tigers in the first game of a four-game series. Minnesota’s 7-6 victory in 11 innings ended the club’s three-game losing skid, while the Tigers had their three-game winning streak stopped. Friday’s contest pits Minnesota southpaw Glen Perkins against Detroit’s Armando Galarraga.
