Uganda: Rebels back to negotiation table

Deodatus Mfugale, AfricaNews reporter in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania The signing of a peace deal between the rebel group, Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), and Uganda government could be done early next week after rebel leader Joseph Kony ordered his negotiators on Thursday to start peace talks with the Ugandan government. The leader of LRA peace team in Juba Dr David Nyekorach Matsanga delivered the message, saying that he had resumed his post in the rebel movement, which he had allegedly lost early this year after being sacked. He also made an appeal for urgent food supplies for the rebel soldiers.
