MOSCOW (AFP)–Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will challenge U.S. counterpart George W. Bush to act on Russian concerns over U.S. missile defense plans, a top Kremlin adviser was quoted as saying Sunday. The two leaders will meet Monday at the Group of Eight leading industrial nations’ summit being held in Toyako, Japan. “We are counting on the meeting in Toyako to create an additional stimulus for the U.S. negotiations to begin to take into account our concerns in a real and not a propagandistic way,” Kremlin foreign policy adviser Sergei Prikhodko was quoted as saying by Interfax news agency.
