The Rangers got their power play quarterback in Wade Redden. No they did not overpay. You can't count his past two seasons miscues as a fair representation of him as a player since the entire Ottawa franchise was up and down. Michal Rozsival at $5 million a year? Not terribly overpaid, but if you knew you were signing Redden, did this signing make sense? Let's give GM Glen Sather the benefit of the doubt and look at what he has done today, with approximately $9 million remaining.
