Bob Tway, who counts the 1986 PGA Championship among his eight tour victories, committed this week to the 10th annual $3 million RTO, which will feature a field of 132 players at Montreux Golf & Country Club, July 31-Aug. 3. He joins Bob Estes, Jeff Maggert, Kevin Stadler and Carlos Franco among the recent commitments. Commitments are not binding. Players have until July 25 to sign up. “We’re excited to see these great players coming to the Reno-Tahoe Open,” first-year tournament director Michael Stearns said. “It’s a good mix of veterans and young guns. It will make for great competition in the tournament.” Tway won four tournaments in 1986 and also has the 1989 Memorial to his credit....
