Guns stolen from Justice Resource Center

The Courier-Journal • July 7, 2008 Guns were reported stolen from the Justice Resource Center Saturday, hours after the leader of that group, the Rev. Louis Coleman, died. Louisville Metro Police responded to the center’s offices at 1601 Maple St. on a report of a break-in in progress, according to a report filed that night. The report says an unknown person broke a window and got inside, taking several guns from a cabinet. No list of the guns taken could be obtained by the officer, the report said. Several other weapons were left and a list of those has been given to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the report said. No one has been arrested in the incident.
