NEW HAVEN - Spain's Fernando Verdasco, ranked No. 13 in the world, and Australian Open finalist Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, the world's 19th-ranked player from France, are among the list of players who will compete in the 48-player men's draw at the Pilot Pen tennis tournament Aug. 17-23 at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale, it was announced today. Verdasco, who advanced to the fourth round at the recently concluded Wimbledon, has achieved a career-high ranking at 13. Tsonga has reached the the semifinals of two events this season in addition to his run at the Australian Open where he lost to Novak Djokovic. Joining these players is a trio of previously announced Americans including Mardy Fish, John Isner, and Donald Young.
