10:07 AM MDT on Thursday, July 3, 2008 KTVB CALDWELL -- A Caldwell woman had a close call this morning after crashing into a canal this morning. According to Idaho State Police, 34-year-old Dora Ramirez was headed westbound on Interstate 84 when for unknown reasons she ran off the highway and into a canal. The accident happened at 6:40 a.m. at mile marker 30.5 near the Caldwell Airport. Ramirez was taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise with a broken leg and other unknown injuries.
