Jeev tied fifth in European Open

RSS Feeds| SMS SPO to 58888 for latest updates ASH (England), July 4: Jeev Milkha Singh made a sensational start at The European Open, carding a four-under 68 in the opening round to grab a share of the fifth spot in the euro 5,06,392 event in The London Golf Club here. Jeev, who shares the fifth spot with six others, trails leader Ross Fisher of England by five strokes. Jeev's compatriots, Jyoti Randhawa (74) and Shiv Kapur (76) were tied 89th and tied 123rd respectively. SSP Chowrasia's horrendous 11-over 83 had him tied 155th. Jeev had a disappointing start when he stumbled to a first-hole bogey but the Chandigarh-pro made up for it with birdies on the fifth, eighth and ninth to make the turn two-under.
