Privatization touted at medical conf. in Egypt

SHARM EL-SHEIKH, July 3 (KUNA) -- Privatization opens up the opportunity for broadening economic performance through such means as attracting foreign investments and making use of technology transfer, said director of projects at Sama int'l company Muhammad al-Hajri, at the start of the Annual International Conference for Healthcare Management, kicking off here Thursday. In a speech to the conference, he noted that the experiences of the private sector in the Arab region have had successes and pitfalls, but he emphasized that the private sector could be an able competitor with the public sector in growing national economies and instigating development.
